Oh I actually went in MAy I just haven't updated my journal since! It was soooo beautiful. Did you go to Maui by any chance? The rainbow trees were incredible.

I stopped in Maui en route to Honolulu. I only got to stay a couple of days (my husband was transporting a patient from Asia to Tripler...but I had missed it soooo much. We lived there for about 3 1/2 years, and it's crazy how much you can miss a place and not even realize how much.

My husband got to spend a good deal of time in Maui while we lived there...he loved it. I liked Big Island...but I haven't (yet) had the opportunity to go to Kauai, which is the one island in the chain I must see before I die. Have fun, you...and I'm going to try not to be jealous.
